Creative Strategies to Explore Adolescent Identity Adolescence is a fun and stressful time, fraught with friendships, school and social pressure, commitments, and obligations. This workshop unpacks the science behind identity exploration with teens. In our workshop, we will break the day into two parts. In the first, we will talk about philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience related to the concept of the self. We will focus on what research suggests for adolescence. In part two, we will discover a Gestalt Play Therapy approach to exploring identity. At the end of the workshop, you’ll learn at least 2 Gestalt Play Therapy strategies to use with teens. Come ready to create and discuss, we will explore and practice activities for the quintessential question of adolescence, “Who am I?” Objectives: Participants will review at least 2 research articles on adolescent identity development. Participants will learn and practice two Gestalt Play Therapy approaches to foster adolescent identity development.
